Born in Idabel, Eddy Dempsey’s family has long been a part of the fabric of this area. Eddy’s grandfather built the first grocery store in Garvin where Eddy worked while growing up. He is a graduate of Valliant High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Family Man
Eddy and Diane Dempsey have been married for 24 years. Their sons, Tra and Brawley, attended area public schools, and Eddy served on the Valliant School Board for five years. Eddy was an active parent, including supporting area athletics, 4H and FFA.

Eddy served as Congressman Markwayne Mullin’s Southeast Oklahoma Field Representative, where he worked tirelessly for the unique needs in this corner of our state. From cleaning up after the 2015 floods and storms, to addressing rural water quality issues, Eddy was always looking out for us.

Eddy is an avid hunter, a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and Quail Forever. We can count on him to safeguard our Second Amendment rights. Eddy will stand for religious freedom and the sanctity of life.
